Zima Creason serves as the Executive Director of the California EDGE Coalition, where she leads statewide efforts to advance economic mobility and equity through education, workforce development, and high-road job pathways.
With a strategic and inclusive approach, Zima brings together diverse partners across labor, business, education, workforce development, and social justice to tackle California’s most pressing workforce challenges. She is committed to ensuring that all Californians, especially those historically excluded from opportunity, have the support and access needed to succeed in today’s economy.
Zima has worked in policy and advocacy since 2001, with a strong focus on workforce development, education, and mental health. Her leadership at EDGE is grounded in a deep belief in coalition-building, community empowerment, and systemic change that centers equity.
Beyond her work at EDGE, Zima is an elected member of the San Juan Unified School District Board of Education, where she continues her advocacy for equitable education and student well-being.
