Vice-President and Counsel, Labor and Employment
Gail Blanchard-Saiger is Vice-President and Counsel, Labor and Employment for the California Hospital Association. In this role since 2006, she provides leadership for state and federal legislative and regulatory issues related to hospital human resources and labor relations. She is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration and serves on its Advocacy Committee. She is a frequent speaker and author on healthcare workplace law issues.
Gail M. Blanchard-Saiger has over 25 years of experience as a labor and employment attorney representing hospitals and other employers. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Blanchard-Saiger worked as a human resources manager at a non-profit senior service agency. Ms. Blanchard-Saiger received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University. Ms. Blanchard-Saiger received her law degree from the University of California, King Hall School of Law, where she was a Law Review Editor and graduated Order of the Coif. After law school, Ms. Blanchard-Saiger clerked for the Honorable Garland E. Burrell, Jr. United States District Court Judge, Eastern District of California. Ms. Blanchard-Saiger is a member of the California State Bar.
